Training

Basics of Pistol Shooting will cover gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. 

Course length 9 hours. 

Diving deeper into fundamentals of stance, body positioning, breathing, front sight focus vs. target focus, grip angles and modification, applying types of trigger manipulation techniques.

Course length 4 hours. 

Learn how to safely draw from a holster, emergency vs. tactical magazine changes, clearing malfunctions/stoppages, shooting from less-than-ideal positions, support hand shooting, and determine your maximum effective range.

Course length 4 hours. 

Performing time critical tasks and multiple target engagement will identify your real skill level as a marksman. An array of timed drills including drawing from holster to first shot, cadence drills, advanced footwork, shooting on the move,  mixed with physical activity to induce stress if you're feeling up to a challenge.
